| Grandparent Carers Project 
The Grandparent Carers Project, a partnership between Grandparents Victoria and YMCA Victoria aims to promote the health and wellbeing in grandparent carers whilst recognising the financial barriers they face. Through YMCA Open Doors, grandparents and grandchildren will be given the opportunity to participate in a range of respite activities, including swimming, aquatic education, and health club classes, including group family classes, and YMCA Youth Gym (for the grandkids!). If Grandparents are not yet formally recognised as carers, they can still apply to the program by obtaining a 'Statutory Declaration for informal Relative Carers' from their local post office. |
